inspired by J.d. Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye"
this artwork marked a development in my approach to my art in terms of setting an expectation for the result. it was one of the first moments I remember feeling that I was capable of translating my perspective into an external representation, that was honest to the materials, what I was thinking, and where the concept arose from.
Holden Caulfield, the narrator of J.d. Salinger's Catch in the Rye, has a special place in my heart; his cynicism and overall worldly experience.
