oil, marble dust & pigment on (found) wooden block
marble dust was the main element under investigation in this work.
I began with a coat of marble dust mixed with stand oil.
combining regular linseed oil with pigment, it was interesting to watch the progress of one oil though the other, dispersing along patterns
This work was created during a frosty period in winter. I had used marble dust as a main material, for its luminous quality, the glisten or sparkle of frost.
